About the Team

We are Strategy&’s dedicated analytics and modelling team, sitting at the heart of PwC’s +$10bn global deals business. We work with leading investors, management teams and corporates to unlock value, enhance performance and improve decision making across their most important assets, complex transactions and restructurings.

Our work spans value creation, turnaround, and performance improvement, blending Strategy&’s commercial expertise with cutting-edge analytics and modelling capability.

Our purpose is to support the increasingly sophisticated client demand for advanced data-driven insights to underpin their value creation opportunities as well as critical investment decisions.

We deliver transformational insights to our clients by combining:

  • Commercial and financial understanding of what drives value in a business
  • Analytical rigour and technology-enabled insight generation
  • A diverse team with experience across data, strategy, operations and finance

This is an exceptional opportunity to work directly with Private Equity clients and portfolio companies, to shape and deliver data-driven insights that drive business performance and investment returns.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality analysis and insight on client projects, while contributing to innovation and capability building within the team.

You will:

  • Work with project leadership to design, develop, and deliver analytical workstreams that drive value creation and performance improvement.
  • Build structured, high-impact analyses and dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Python) that help clients understand business performance, margin opportunities, and growth levers.
  • Support the development of driver-based financial and operational models, linking commercial, operational, and financial data to quantify value creation opportunities and track performance.
  • Use automation and emerging technologies (including GenAI) to improve efficiency and insight generation within client projects and internal workflows.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear narratives and commercial implications for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across Strategy& and Deals teams, contributing to cross-functional projects spanning strategy, operations, and technology.
  • Contribute to developing reusable tools, accelerators and digital assets that scale our analytics capability.
  • Support business development through research, proposal preparation, and showcasing team capabilities.

What we’re looking for

You are analytically minded, commercially curious and eager to apply data-driven thinking to real business problems. You combine strong technical capability with an ability to explain insights clearly and credibly.

Essential or Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an understanding of business performance drivers.
  • Understanding of financial statements and KPI frameworks (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet).
  • Experience working with data analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or Power Query.
  • Ability to translate technical outputs into clear commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments and across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive and curious, with a passion for learning new technologies (including GenAI applications).
  • Collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines.

Why join us

At Strategy& Analytics, you’ll join a fast-growing and collaborative team combining strategy, data, and technology to deliver measurable value to clients. You’ll gain direct exposure to senior stakeholders, cutting-edge tools, and a diverse set of projects, with a clear development path toward becoming a trusted advisor and future leader in analytics-driven consulting.
